Week 10 Reading Notes: Jataka Tales pt. ii

- 3 prince born, Prince of Stars, Moon Prince, and the Sun Prince

- the kings wife got a boon and she used it to make the Sun Prince king, but the king said no

- he sent the sons away to hid in the forest so no harm would be done with them and the youngest wanted to go to

- the came upon a lake and the Sun Prince did not answer the water sprites question right so he was taken away

- the Moon prince made the same mistake

- the Prince of Stars answered the question right and was able to bring back a brother

- he chose his younger brother and that was also the right thing to do 

- the water sprite let both brothers leave the cave

- they stayed in the forest until their father died and then ruled the kingdom together
