Reading Notes: The Giant Crab, and Other Tales from Old India pt. ii
- a lion and a jackal had a cub
- he had the look of a lion but the voice of a jackal
- the cub was playing with friends and wanted to roar and scare them so he open his mouth and let out a jackal yelp
- he was then advised to never open his mouth again
- almost as if this made him lesser than the others
- from then on he was careful on who he spoke to and was quite around the other lions
