Reading Notes: The Giant Crab, and Other Tales from Old India pt. ii

 - a lion and a jackal had a cub

- he had the look of a lion but the voice of a jackal

- the cub was playing with friends and wanted to roar and scare them so he open his mouth and let out a jackal yelp

- he was then advised to never open his mouth again

- almost as if this made him lesser than the others

- from then on he was careful on who he spoke to and was quite around the other lions
