Week 10 Reading Notes: Jataka Tales pt. i

 - the turtle scares the sons of a king 

- they think he is a demon 

- the king tells his men to catch the turtle and bring it back to him

- they plot on how to kill or get rid of the turtle 

- a man who is deathly afraid of water suggests throwing it in a lake to kill it

- that sounds perfectly fine with the turtle so he pops out of his shell and acts scared of the water too

- seeing that the turtle did not want to go in the water that is what they did to him

- little did they know that he was going to be doing "swimmingly" in the water
