Reading Notes: The Indian Story Book: The Five Tall Sons of Pandu pt. ii
- Krishna tries to seek peace with Dhirtarashtra and it moves him but does not change his son, Duryodhana's mind
- Shikhansdin was a woman turned man that was to be the downfall of Bishma who was fighting against the Pandavas
- Bishma lays on a bed of arrows and dying, but before he dies he urges Duryodhana to make peace
- Karna is told by Bishma that his younger brother is actually Arjuna but that does not stop him from wanting to defeat the Pandavas
- Then comes the whole elephant debacle that tricks Drona into think his son Ashwathaman is dead
- Karna and Arjuna fight and it is a draw but Karna says the next time they fight one of them will die
- Arjuna's bow breaks and he asks for respite for bow repair but Karna declines and keeps fighting
- Karna's chariot gets stuck and he asks for respite but none is given per Krishna and Karna is fatally shot
- Duryodhana continues the war and is knocked out by Bhima
- Ashwathaman kills all of the Pandavas' sons
- Duryodhana dies and at the end Kunti tells Arjuna that he killed his brother
