Storybook/ Portfolio Plan

I think after reading some of the advice and notes that I have been given I believe I have an idea of how to write these stories. I will most likely be using a narrator to introduce each story and the characters, but when the main story begins it can be written in the form of a diary entry. As added in the feedback these could be lost pages that are being sought out and recovered by Alakshmi as she is Bad Luck and feeds off the unhappiness of others. Also as suggested in the feedback this will be a collection solely by women.

Surpanakha: As mentioned before this entry will be written by Sita. No one expects a women as polite and kind to have anything rotten to say about anyone else. However those are the one's you need to look out for. Sita in her entry will go off about her thoughts on the seductress Surpanakha. As she would never say these out loud she wrote her thoughts down in a diary which was lost for 100s of years until Alakshmi recovered the scandalous thoughts of the princess. Click here for source

Rama's Exile: After contemplating this idea for a while I believe I will switch the writer to Mantahra. She will go into he hatred for Rama, but then it begins to switch to her resentment for Queen Kaikeyi. Just as Sita would never speak these words, Manthara would never dare let the queen know of her ill thoughts against her. This solidifies the journaling aspect and theme that can be used. Alakshmi would recover this entry and add it to her unhappiness collection. Click here for source

Mandodari against Ravana: Just like the other two this would be a secret journal that Mandodari keeps from Ravana. Being nice to a man you despise would get tiring trying to keep all of the angry thoughts tucked away. I also think it would be interesting to write about the fact that her husband is trying get wit another woman. and should be mad at him and not Sita who is refusing his advances.  Click here for source.
