Reading Notes: Ramayana PD part iii

 - Sugriva had similar troubles to Rama

- Rama was going to fight Sugriva's brother Vali for him 

- Rama kills Vali but by hiding away not by being upfront about the battle

- Everyone mourns Vali even Sugriva

- Rama must wait in the wilderness during the rainy season as per his exile 

- The rainy season ended, but Sugriva was not holding p his end of the deal

- Lakshmana threatened him and then he gathered armies to look in every direction 

- Jatayu's brother Sampati is met on the road and he informs them that they are going in the right direction towards Lanka 

- Hanuman is the one that is sent to make the jump to Lanka

- He makes it into the city and fins Ravana sleeping but no SIta

- He found her in a grove guarded by she demons 

- He watched as Ravana tried to woe her but Sita denied him every time

- Sita and Hanuman meet and he assures her that he is with Rama and not Ravana, but she will not go with him because she does not want to touch any man that is not Rama so she gives him a jewel to take with him

- Ravana after capturing Hanuman lit his tail on fire as he could not fully justify death

- Hanuman used his burning tail to catch the city on fire

- Ravana's court debated about whether to keep Siat or battle and of course battling won for Ravana

- Ravana's brother, Vibhishana hates war and opposes the idea from Ravana so he leaves Lanka and aligns himself with Rama instead
